My best friend and I met when we were 13 years old. During the first week of seventh grade, I walked into my fourth-period art class…the classroom was huge, with big wooden tables and drawings covering every inch of the walls. I nervously looked for someone to sit with and saw a familiar face.

The sisters you look to for endless support, wisdom, guidance, inspiration, love and laughter. They are the core group you expect to keep you humble, focused on your health, make you stick to that budget, cheer for you and cry with you.

A survey of more than 2000 women, conducted by the AAA Worldwide Travel and Aspire Marketing found that 24 percent of Americans have taken a women-only vacation in the past three years and 56 percent want to do so in the future.
